Someone is selling a less expensive aftermarket gaiter that is apparently thicker than the OEM? I have never compared the two, but can confirm that it fits well. That’s what I have purchased in the past and used with success.
Were it doing that jpb, I would use one or two of my favorites.
petoleum jelly aka Vaseine.
Or, a white grease i acquired some place. used in food handlig machinery.
I always use a scket in lieu of a scre driver to tighten clamps. Much easier.

Sounds like a plan, I tried not to use it on my lower rad hose, but caved in , went on like sh*t through a goose.
I sometimes wonder on this forum if we tend to over think things.

Other than the guy on eBay? No. He’s still selling them. I have no connection or relationship to the seller. I only know of his eBay presence.
