Gearbox Breather Pipe

Can someone please tell me what finish the Gearbox Breather Pipe is supposed to be? Cad? Silver? Hammerite? I can’t tell if mine has been repainted or not.

Herb, the breather pipe is plated in clear cadmium.

Does anyone know if the breather can be fitted with the motor in place? Mine came in a box of parts and I can’t seem to fish it past the firewall with its bends.

It can if you have the transmission tunnel cover off. It a flexible pipe clamp to a fitting on the transmission and to the metal pipe you are trying to install.
