I know it is not correct for my Series 1 XJ6 but i love the look, and am thinking of painting the inside of my head gold. Is there a specific paint or color for that?
Anything that resists heat, oil and fuel;-)
There should be engine colours fit for the purpose.

I dont think the head gets that hot. Any good quality spray paint would work.
Any idea on the actual color?
I used head paint from SNG
Gold metallic spray paint the shade of gold could be your choice , I suppose paint that would adhere to aluminum with out primer
Spray it on as thin as you can, thinner the better
Heat resisting is best, David - but the vital point is that the surfaces must be free from oil/contamination - difficult in-car…
