How do you remove the Breather Adapter Assembly (BAA) next to the EGR valve mount?
I need to remove the BAA so that I can then remove the EGR valve mount and access the center intake manifold bolt.
I tried wrenching the bolt from the top but the bolt head is stripped and the open ended wrench can’t grab it. There isn’t enough room between the valve mount and the bolt to get a socket on the bolt so I need to remove the mount. The last valve mount bolt is blocked by the restrictor so it needs to come off.
The restrictor body is held in place by a bolt and a dowel (circled in orange). I’ve removed the bolt and the BAA swivels on the dowel but won’t come off of it. I’ve tried pulling the BAA straight up but it doesn’t budge.
How should I proceed? Do I remove the dowel? Do I have to pry the BAA up off the dowel?
