How to remove alternator? ('86 XJ6)

I have an '86 XJ6 and would like to know if one can remove the alternator without removing the AC compressor?

Remove the end links on the stabilizer bar.

I thought so but wanted to make sure. The workshop manual says to either remove or loosen the AC mountings and slightly work around without disconnecting or damaging the AC connections. Thanks,

The bar can be rotated out of the way once the end links are disconnected.

No need to remove it. just ‘roll-it’.
