Is this tan? it looks darker?

Hi Paul,

That’s cool, very cool.

IIRC the MKIX in Hitchcock’s Vertigo was Sherwood Green as was the very first E-type imported into Finland (#876420 3.8L LHD OTS Sherwood Green / Beige, Black hood).

Nowadays a very rare colour to see live anywhere.

Cheers!

And to close out, Pekka. The continuation XKSS series were painted Sherwood Green.

jaguar “tan” for the early etypes is very orangey. it gets darker with age. when i removed the arm rests the vinyl door panel was very orange in color.
connolly “ochre” looks correct.

Hi,

Connolly ”Ochre” is correct for Jaguar ”Light Tan”:

Colour: Vaumol Ochre
Code: VM3104

But NOT correct for Jaguar ”Tan” which was/is the same colour as Jaguar ”Pigskin” aka ”Pigskin Grain Tan” Connolly VM.3280.

They are very close, but not the same.

Cheers!
