Small shop run by Eddie and his wife; he usually has a minion in training that he uses for the mundane work (stripping, prepping) and charges a way lower labor price while he focuses on the details.
He’s rebuilt my suspension, brakes, rewired under the bonnet, and did some fabrication in the boot (replaced floor). Overall solid work at a relatively low labor cost; Also lets you buy your own parts and have them shipped direct, let’s you shop around for best pricing.
Shop is limited to a couple of bays so get on his list; he won’t call you in until he’s ready to work on the car, goes directly into the shop. I’m on the list for carb rebuild this year and will likely have him re-build my engine as long as he stays active
Take a trip and visit, his shop is not for everyone (VERY old school, a bit chaotic) but he knows Jags like no one I’ve ever met. He was a Jag mechanic back in '62 at the only dealership in NJ and has been working on E-Type for over 50 years.
