Jaguar Smiths Clocks

Hi All:

Has anyone heard from Mike Eck recently? I dropped him an email (Mike@jaguarclock.com) last Saturday with respect to finally getting my XKs Smiths clock refurbished, but so far I have not heard anything back.

Chris.

@Mike_Eck … copy?

He posted a response on the XK Engine forum Jan 12 about oil pump pickups.

Sorry for the delay. I’m in
the process of moving from the house where I have lived since 1965, and I’m
sure some of you can certainly appreciate how much junk I have acquired during
that time. If not, take a look at any episode of “American Pickers”.
I have an 800’ driveway on 12 acres with several buildings and
every car I have ever owned. I have decided to make sure the new house
doesn’t become cluttered, so I need to go through everything and evaluate
its importance to my future life, and not think about how much I originally paid
for it. I am spending time at each house, and the work of moving takes me
away from the computer for days at a time. I am setting up the clock
repair bench at the new house, but my turn-around time will be longer than
normal. The new house has a 3 car garage with one bay 20’ wide and
13’ tall where there is now a 12’ tall two-post lift. I will
soon have a 6 car barn for storage, so it will be well worth the hassle of
moving!

Hi Mike:

Thanks for the reply. Glad to learn that the move will give you more space and also to learn that you hadn’t fallen off the face of the earth! Clock was shipped yesterday and I went through Cool Cat. No problem on the turn around time as, regrettably, the car is currently confined to the garage given the weather here in southern Ontario and it will probably be there now until spring! Good luck with the move.

Chris.

Jag-mahal, that’s what we are going to call it. Space for all us New Englanders to park inside, right?
