On my 1982 XJ6, LHD. Right, so I feel slightly stupid right now, but i can’t figure out what the part in the picture is. It is in the RHS of the engine compartment, behind the battery. It looks like a vacuum tank(?) I was doing a but of cleaning under the hood and I found this thing.

Oh wow, seriously? I was wondering why it had wires on it, hahaha. Perfect then, i’ll just clean it up. Thanks mate

The vacuum tank is on the other side. These two and the battery and booster and hood latch swap for RHD. Steering wheel too of course.
Sometimes they move the pedals, too. 
They never do that. They grow on their own when they’re ready.
