Kent wheel inner diameter

I have a 1984 XJ6 that I just put some Kent wheels on. Unfortunately, the steel wheels, the Pepperpots and the Kents all seem to have different hub cover sizes: Can someone tell me what exact size the hub covers are for the Kents? I have now bought two different sets, one was the wrong size, the other one was the wrong depth or something…

Hub covers?

Are you talking about the center caps here?

AFAIK the Kent wheel take this center cap, and no other

Anyhow, I’m not clear what diameter you want measured.

Cheers

Alexander,

the classic hub covers covering both hub and wheel bolts were used only for steel wheels throughout Series XJ production: SI had larger hub covers,
grafik
SII had smaller hub covers and “rimbellishers”

(except on “Turbo” chromed steel wheels).
grafik

SIII had full size stainless steel covers - however starting beyond the wheel bolt circle.

From SII on aluminium wheels were available - initially “Kent”
grafik
later “Pepperpot” wheels.

The Kent wheels like the steel wheels with stainless covers had hub (only) caps, but apparently in different sizes.

To get the correct pieces try to find out the part number. For Kent wheels it should be C.42190.

Good luck

Yes, this is what I meant, I couldn’t find the correct word hahah. Yeah, these things. I wonder if there are any aftermarket ones, i would have liked to know the diameter of where it goes into the wheel

What I have discovered is that there are some caps that are deeper than others.
The shallower ones might need some persuasion to fit in the front.
