Lowering a series 1 xj6

Again, that’s very cool. I love the way that even a standard XJ roofline sits below the glass line of SUV’s and minivans. It’s barely higher than a modern Porsche 911 and of course this one will be even lower.

Also its interesting that in the 1970’s alloy wheels became cooler than hubcaps but now I really like the look of a good hubcap - it can be much more shiny and it’s different to 99% of the cars on the road.

Very nice.

I do date back to hub caps and then wheel covers. each very necessary. Moat wheels were rather blah…

Some, not so much. The scalloped ones reminiscent of spokes…

When I did my $0’s project I rounded up a bunch of 25 Ford 16" wires. Even bought the skeleton of a small trailer for the wheels!! Picked out the four best ones.
Had them sand blasted. Rigged a stand and primed them. the a coat of bright red. “beauty rims” and plain dog dish caps Shod with Firestone replica black walls.
Super good looking…

My ealier 37 Fords’ wide 5’s got a nice paint to copmpliment the body color. Wide caps and dmall scallops. Attractive…
