When the kids grow up and start to look for a car later in life , they may think about getting a real car , that was once on there TV , PC screens
Hey, at least someone is using them in computer sims!
Somewhat off topic but not totally. In 1962 and 63 I would spend time in England. At that time there were
3 TV stations; BBC1, BBC2 and ITV (all black and white) no commercials at all. They did broadcast an
eclectic program list including Snooker ( pool) and Auto racing from Brands Hatch, Silverstone and
other venues. The BIG DOGS in saloon racing were Jaguar MK2`s and they won everything. That is
UNTIL Ford started racing the American Ford Galaxies with the 406 engine. It was apparently OK for
Jaguar to use a 3.8 liter car to beat a 1.8 or 2.0 liter Mini or Ford Escort but not for Ford to bring a
GUN to a knife fight by using a 6.5 liter 406 to win against the home team. Watching that American
iron racing wheel to wheel on narrow twisty road race courses and winning was GREAT. Pete

At :55 into resident alien’s video link, it’s an early swing axle Corvair, being driven hard around a corner…
I assume this was 10 seconds before it FLIPPED OVER and landed on it`s roof.
I think that was the Volvo…
I remember Jimmy Clark beating the Ford Galaxie’s in a lotus Cortina, with only a little engine.
Great scrap, this!!!
