I, for one, will miss the variety of topics and cars discussed.

I think its important to stay informed regarding new Jaguars
if you ever plan on updating; though several have made it clear that
they plan on being buried in their XJ40’s. Their opinions, which
they couldn’t hold to themselves, make this split absolutely
necessary.

It definitely got embarrassing listening to members owning 10 year
old cars worth $5,000 insulting new members’ $50,000 cars.
(They aren’t REAL Jaguars, just Fords…etc.)

Credit goes to those fortunate enough to afford new Jags for not
pointing out the deficiencies in the old XJ40’s. Perhaps affluence
does go hand in hand with maturity.

Thank you. An excellent development. Now I hope we can at last (and for
good) escape the banal and tedious exchanges which have plagued the modern
list recently. People who must bang on and on and on about their particular
‘hobby horses’ spoil the list for practical people like me who simply want
to exchange information about our Jaguar cars. I really don’t think badly
spelled and half-digested discussions of inordinate length about peripheral
or abstruse matters are of the slightest bit of interest or entertainment.

And pretentiousness fits right in there as well…> I, for one, will miss the variety of topics and cars discussed.

The Modern list has been, by and large, a great ride for just about
everybody. Let’s try to end things on a happy note.

I am constantly amazed at how imature people can be if they get insulted because someone does not like their. car. I for one
welcome all opinions. In fact I seen very little of what you call insults. I see people expressiing an opinion that Jaguar is going to lose
distinction it once had. Unfortunately distinction does not sell many cars.4/12/02 4:21:05 PM, “Richard Drozdowski” rdroz@telusplanet.net wrote:
