Moss to syncro conversion question

Is it possible to use a 3.8 bell housing ( machined to fit) a 3.8 flywheel and starter to do a syncro conversion?

I hope so, because that is what I have just done.
The bell-housing input shaft hole needed machining out a little bit to fit the synchro gearbox.

The 3.8 bellhouseing is machined to fit the 4 synchro gearbox…however there were some 3.8s models (not Es) that were fitted with a 4 syncro so depending what you have it may already fit…

Yes. That’s how I did it. Better than using the heavier 4.2 flywheel IMO.

Used the close ratio 4.2 trans/bellhousing/clutch/flywheel/starter.
Machined the 4.2 flywheel to 3.8 specs or slightly less.
