Fixing up a XJ6 engine 8L97861 to fit my 1970 XKE OTS. I‘ll be fitting the E-Type oil sump and want to know if the oil feed pipe differs? I have a spare pipe with an indent, otherwise identical. Is the one with the indent the right one for the E-type? I‘m aware the oil pickup pipe has to be changed, but the pipe from filter housing to pump?
I never saw an indented pipe in an E Type…
Thanks Paul. I rewatched Mr. Owen‘s Junk E-Type engine last night and it has the normal pipe. So I‘ll keep it as is.
