This oil filter is on my C-type replica 3.4 engine. Does anyone know what it is from? I will eventually need to replace the filter.

Your setup is XJ6. But notice on Rob’s diagram that there are two part numbers for the oil filter base…11671 and 12963. From the diagram, the look the same, but…11671 can be used with either the “short fat” canister or the “long thin” canister, while 12963 only works with the “short fat” canister. 11671 was also used on E-Types after engine 7R2297. 12963 was an XJ6 part, although a few seem to have slipped into E-Type production at the very end.
If you post a photo of the front of the filter base with the canister and filter removed, I can tell you which one you have.
Ok thanks. I have another 3.4 that has only the filter base, missing the rest of it, and I was thinking finding this same filter assembly for it also.
Or keep the houseing…and fit a spin on adaptor for a canister filter…Steve
There are spin on kits for the 11671 filter head, but I don’t know of any for the 12963.
