I know you are not on their sale staff Ray, but it seems from there website that you get only 1 auto make/model? specific software included, and pay $50 for each additional maker.

ie you nominate? to get the unit with BMW software, and pay $50 for each of the other makers listed.

but for instance I do not see Jeep listed, and furthermore a '90s Cherokee is way different from later post 2010 models, so how does that work software wise?

When you buy it, it is just a generic code reader. When you register it, you get to download any one software package at no charge. You can buy as many others as you like for, IIRC, $70 each, and you can load as many as will fit on the SD card (and I suspect nearly all of them would fit). Still a bargain compared to ANY other tool I’ve seen. It works on cars from '96 on, as earlier ones are not OBD-II compatible. I doubt they claim to support ALL cars, but certainly the vast majority. I would expect Jeeps to be supported by the Chrysler software.
