Pancake air filters

Looking to switch from the original air filter to the pancake type on my 62 MKII
Any suggestions on the type or manufacture would be appreciated

Get ready for a tuning change once you do that.
I just went from pancakes back to an original system and the car runs much better due to it.

I use SU filters. Fairly easy to install and change.

something to know… I wonder why that would be, more air flow? I thought that it would run better as I have neither on the car right now, and the car runs fine,

Your input is appreciated

Good morning

That is exactly what I had in mind. They look GREAT, could you please provide me with the model or part numbers of both and where you purchased them

Much Appreciated

Nelson

Yes, the needles are profiled to work with certain airflow restrictions at different RPMs. More air produces a leaner mixture.

Here’s the two different types I use:

CHROME AIR FILTER, 1-1/2" SUs | Moss Motors

Chrome Air Filter Assembly by K&N, 1-1/2" SU, 1-3/4" Deep | Moss Motors

Appreciate the information on the filters
Thank you
