Pedal stems on FHC

Looking for some clarity on which pedal stems are cranked ( as photo ) or straight on the brake and clutch . I am getting conflicting info .
Thanks Jim

Hi Jim,
Mine are straight.
I have a 120.

IF you mean curved(arced), they must be to maintain a central orientation as they pass thru the hole in the firewall. Or, are you saying yours are bent in two different planes?

Hi Lee
no, it is the very end where it is welded to the bit you put your foot on. Some stems are just curved and join straight onto the foot piece, some are bent at 90° at the foot pieces to throw it over to one side as my picture

Gotcha…I will check mine when I get a chance…car was built in Oct., '55.

Jim, there may be a difference between LHD and RHD. Do you have Viart’s book?

The book doesn’t make it clear and I am pretty sure LHD and RHD are different, but not sure how

Just took a gander at my pedal stems…they are as the photo you posted, Jim. BUT, they are slightly different from each other in the sense that the pedal pad is welded to the 90 degree bend at different “heights”…one providing slightly more leverage than the other? I don’t remember which is which, however.

Hi Lee
are you original LHD or RHD ?

Shoulda mentioned earlier…LHD.

Thanks Lee
I shoulda mentioned I need the pedal info for a RHD
