I found it and had to bring it home. Obvious difference is there are no ribs on the sides, but other than that it sure looks like it would work in an E-type because its the same shape - as opposed to the XJ sumps.
Appears to be in great shape - no cracks or welds. Not sure what I will do with it, but thinking about using it on my spare engine.
Sorry. I have a XK120. The XK120 (same as a MK 7) sump only fits the very early engines. The oil pump, front main cap and the internal baffles are entirely unique to those engines.
