That was interesting, the counter showed two posts had been made but the reply did not show - upon a refresh I was was re-routed to the regular non safe mode site.
Larry, if you can see the row of user avatars at the top of the site when you are at the op level (i.e. Forums Home) then you’re no longer in safe mode, so you need to go back to the URL I gave you.
Bit of a catch-22 here Andrew, once I select a forum from the safe mode site I’m re-routed to the main site, only post I can make is new topic and select a forum from the drop down …unless there’s another way?
Andrew - after posting that last comment, I got the non-updated/no post shown screen so did a screen capture of the situation:

Hmn… I stand corrected. Forums Home takes you out of safe mode. Could you get by using the Hamburger to move from category to category for the evening? Notifications and such should show up as normal.
Ok now you’ve really got me stumped - WTF is the Hamburger?

That might be a result of you coming out of safe mode. (safe mod just disables the JavaScript on your end, so the slider may not have liked the transition.
The hamburger is the 3 bars next to your user avatar, it looks like this:
Ok gotcha. BTW the slider affair is the same way as it was last night after I replied and quoted a post, not a new thing since I logged in in safe mode … 
Will attempt to go back to safe mode and use the hamburger right now to post a further update to this topic …
Ok, went to safe mode, used 'burger, site re-routed me out of safe mode again once I selected “site feedback”, sorry.
Odd. I’m on Chrome, and it stays in safe mode, even if I use “Forums Home”.
Does the safe mode warning disappear when you use the hamburger? It looks like this:
Pretty sure it does, will check again. I couldn’t access the link for safe mode when I logged out 
so I cut and pasted it to notepad.
Logged out, pasted the safe mode link into the address bar then logged in. I was immediately re-routed to the main site and out of safe mode …cache issue maybe?
Yes the banner stays in place if I’m logged out - using the 'burger i can move around the site no problem and the blus safe mode banner stays lit. Once I log back in though …back to the regular site.
Is that a 2nd tab I see with JL open?
Per browser one window/tab to JL at a time if you please. You can leave your tab with www.tractorporn.com open if you want.

Plus after I post the slider disappears until I refresh …
Replied-to post doesn’t appear until after a refresh but at least now I don’t have to close the browser to read the topic, just refresh.
Some kind of auto-refresh-after-posting switch turned off maybe?

Go back to working normally. I only had it happen once all day yesterday, and there I just did a refresh and the page came up.
