[pre-xk] P100 Headlamps

Does anyone have a parts breakdown for Lucas P100L headlamps. I
need to know if there is a gasket between the glass and the rim. I
have a ‘U’ section rubber seal between the shell and the rim.
Between the rim & glass there is currently clear silcone??

Art,

My Lucas manual only goes back to 1945, but it does list a P100L. The parts
breakdown lists two rubber beads - 506502, which looks a bit like a
flattened o-ring, and 506503, which looks like a length of cylindrical
rubber cut to length. I can’t really tell from the drawings, but I would
guess that the first one goes between the shell and the rim, and the second
one may go between the rim and glass. I can scan and email you the
appropriate pages if you’d like.

Regards,

I don’t think we’ve heard from Dick White in awhile, so he may be gone. His last post was in 2014.
Does anyone know if he ever scanned the pages he mentioned, or know what was his source document?
I have the same question, what sealing rings should there be in the P100.

I polished my P100 headlights for my '38 SS.
I used Wright’s Silver Cream (the jar says Trusted since 1873).
Wipe it on, let it dry, rinse it off, soft cloth polish.
