Prices down under

With a couple of idle minutes to spare, took a look at carsales.com.au.
Not very many XJ-Ss, but they sure are pricey compared with Stateside.
The Australian dollar, which was worth US$1.08 less than 10 years ago, now trades for around US$0.75.
Allowing for the currency factor looks like we pay at least twice as much for any XJ-S.

If only that tea party fiasco had never happened we would all drive on the correct side of the road and U.S. sourced cars would be imported and useful over here.

If I hang on to my two cars for 20 more years I can sell them to buy a Learjet - or near enough.

Rich ,nice dream, time will tell.

Hi Richard
The reduced number of XJS vehicles and increased value didn’t go unnoticed by a number of Jag enthusiast here in Wagga Wagga either. I just reinsured my restored 82 XJS coupe for $30K yesterday with out any problem. Many advertised here well exceed that value and even more so if they have an interesting history. The change in their value was quite sudden and may relate to availability.
Cheers Trev
