is the diff ratio tag visible when car is on the ground? where is it located on a 3.8?

It has been on ones I have seen - usually on the diff cover bolt closest to the drain plug (about 5:30 when viewed from behind). But I cannot say I have ever looked at a diff of a car with a 3.8.
