Hi all, I’m getting ready to start my conversion to triple SU’s and as part of that of course replacing the intake manifold. I’m fitting a 4.2 style, and have a question about the thermostat housing. What’s on there now is a fairly long unit, which includes a small rubber hose fitting that attaches to the radiator. See pic 1. I’d prefer to eliminate this, and go with the more common housing as shown in pic 2. For the life of me I can’t figure what the small hose is supposed to be accomplishin…
