I have been offered a set of the lovely S type 10 spoke Spirit wheels and I am wondering if they will fit without any problems ? It is to replace my 18" rims with 225-40-18 tyres as I find the ride a little on the hard side and I’m hoping a set of 16" wheels may help ?

Everyone I’ve consulted with tell me that, because the X Type was built on the Ford Mondeo platform, other jag wheels will not fit. I ended up going to a wrecker and getting a spare set for winter tires off a wrecked X Type. This doesn’t help you, because the new wheels were the same diameter.
