[s-type] Traction Control MIL

2000 S-Type with flashing light on dash.

Used AutoEnginuity tool to diagnose other problem. During the scan
process the tool set the light and now I can’t turn it off.

There was nothing wrong with Trac System or related systems, the
MIL I had was TPS.

No MIL’s or ‘‘Codes’’ are present now but the light is still on.

How does one shut off the flashing light? AND
Has anyone else had this problem with the AutoEnginuity scan tool?–

Hello, I have had the same problem with Autoenginuity (I decided to
clear the DTC and from that time the traction control light were
flickering).

The only solution - visit the Jaguar Service and they reset or
recode the ABS unit (DSC and TC is connected with ABS).

I have also informed Autoenginuity about this situation - they said
that it was only problem with my car…–

Thats exactly what Joe (the engineer at AE that did the Jaguar
programming) told me. I’m the only one this has happened to.

Actually it has happened to three cars so far for me.

There is a glitch in their programming that they wont admit to.

My problem is my local Jaguar dealer will charge me thousands of
dollars while trying to convince me there are unrelated broken
things causing the light. Been down that road already with a Range
Rover and the local dealer.–

I have an Actron CP9125 code reader that will clear codes and reset
trouble lights.
Try your local auto parts store like AutoZone, Advance, Pep Boys or
what have you and see if they will reset it for free.–

it doesn’t reset with any tool. It must be reset by the dealer.
Thanks for the suggestion though.–
