Are new back plates available from anywhere for MK2/Daimler V8 as mine are very ropey.?
SNG do them around £110 each , I was very lucky , I got 2 like new at a price that would make you cry, for some reason one had a bit cut out , but a easy job to weld a new bit in 
Thanks - seems expensive for a pressed steel plate. I could buy a complete axle with decent second hand protectors for that sort of money.

A pair of disc protectors at £80 with passivated coating. Robey has them.
That is a lot less painful.
