I am looking for some assistance from a 420G owner who has a parts manual.
I need to locate a NOS RH front wing for my 63 Mark X. I was set to purchase
one for $700 but it got sold out from under me. Other ones I have found cost
around $1,500. I can not justify this price and could repair mine for less
but I would rather replace it. I assume the fender from a 420G would work
and may be more plentiful. I believe the only difference is the side lamp.
Can someone look up the part number for me?
Also, can anyone tell me the part number used in the USA for the European 7"
outer headlamp?. Does the 6056 work?

I’m not sure that Jaguar even produced a separate parts manual for the 420G,
as the similarities with the MK 10 probably never warranted it; having had
two in the past five years I don’t recollect ever seeing one. My first car
was totalled in an accident to the driver’s side, leaving the right side
untouched. I therefore have an excellent undamaged and rust-free front right
wing if you’re interested. Unfortunately, I don’t know what removing it from
the car would entail, and I wouldn’t want to try it myself for fear of
damaging it. Contact me off-list and maybe we can come up with something if
you care.
As far as the 7" outer lamps go, I think that the units imported to the
states were never outfitted with them due to regulatory issues. After much
searching, I was able to obtain one NOS here in the states and one in
England. The cars look dramatically better with them, I must say.
