[Saloon-lovers] A California Yankee in King Williams Court

I am fortunate to have a job which allows me to travel frequently.
This has allowed me to drop in on listers in other areas of the
country, as well as schedule business trips which correspond with
Concourse events and other Jaguar related activities.
Next month, I believe, will be the 50th anniversary celebration of
the introduction of the Mark 1, and as fate would have it, I have
business to attend to in the UK at that time.
Are there any Londoners on the list who might be making the
pilgrimage to Coventry on Sept 25th for this event? Or can anyone
tell me if it is practical to grab a train from London to Coventry?

Many thanks!–

There is a train from London that’ll take you to Coventry. From the station
to Brown’s Lane, you’ll need a cab ride; it’s not particularly close. As I
recall, the station is a fairly busy one, with trains running every 30
minutes or so during rush hour.

While in Coventry, make sure you check out the excellent Coventry Motor
Museum. It’s in town and about a 15 minute walk from the station. There’s
also a bus that runs nearby to the train station, I believe, but I didn’t
take it.
