[Saloon-lovers] Mark 2 electrics

Hi all,
I am new to this forum as I have just added a 1960 Mark 2 2.4 to my
stable.
The question I have is that the generator light is on and its
stopped charging. Is it difficult to change to an alternator and
positive earth?
Thanks.
Paul.–

Positive earth’s dead easy and I believe an alternator is
relatively straightforward unless you have power steering.–

I put a Motorola alternator on my positive ground MGB, the model
alternator I got could be hooked up either way. It had the voltage
regulator built inside, solid state, so that there was just an
output wire.

The earkier statements seem to say you want to change to an
alternator ‘‘and’’ Positive Ground. If this be the case why in the
world would you want to change to Positive ground??–Just curious—
