[Saloon-lovers] S Type radios

I’ve been reading with great interest about Mk 2 radios…does anyone know
if that information is relavant to S Types?

Should be if they are contemporaries. The S-Type Parts Catalogue
dated August 1964 lists the Radiomobile 920T/VCR (long and medium
wave), 922T (medium wave - AM) and 530TB medium and short wave. I
had to look these up. The 900 series is often seen in E-Types.
These are later units then the early 500’s, and likely better. The
faceplates are more modern in appearance.

My largely untouched S-Type has its original radio in it, but it’s
been so long since I visited the old girl that I don’t know what
model she has! I know I’ve seen period Blaupunkts in S-Types.

My 19966 S-type came with a Blaupunkt. It was upgrade by the PO, but I
still have the original sitting in my Garage. I can look up the model for
you if would like.

I had a Blaupunkt in my 66 S-type. The PO upgraded it at great expense, but
I still have the original on the shelve in my garage. I can look up the
model number if you wish.
