Seal leading edge of door frame s1 ots. Which way please?

You can see from this new seal it is asymmetrical. Which the heck way does it go? Any pics of finished install?

Here is how mine are installed.

Whichever way allows it to fold easiest when closing the door would seem to be the most sensible orientation. You don’t want it to fight you. There isn’t a ton of space in the gap so it needs to fold pretty severely.

John, thanks,

but, I have an ots.

OK I see 2nd pic, short edge to the outside of car?

Curve outward is correct, and to get my doors to work properly, I had to trim the height severely.

how does this look to everyone? Is the seal supposed to gap away from the body like that at the edge of the door?

.

uh oh…

Is the leading edge of the seal supposed to go in that narrow slit? and must the leading edge at the bottom of the slit be separated from the base so that a little “tail” can hang down past the slit??

Yup, that’s the ticket. Took me a hot minute to realize that also.

and did you tail it down below the slot or just to the end of the slot

I think I just pulled it down to the bottom of the slot. I don’t see much benefit to going deeper and it would just be flopping free and tear before too long. But if you want it to go down that extra 1/8", it is dealer’s choice.
