this vacuum line from the intake was plugged off to begin with. I o not know where it connects to either.

If it connects to the large intake casting via a little spout it connects to the little brown switch on the fuel rail. Orientation does not matter- On that switch another hose goes to the pressure regulator at the front of the fuel rail.
