Smoke, oil leaks, heat

Ok car is back. New crankshaft, bearings, connecting rods, oil pump, rear oil seal. Head gasket re-done. Various gaskets. While they were at it, replacement “silentblocs”, which I think is subframe mounts?? (see pictures of old ones).
Noticeably different, smoother, less noisy, now giving about 35psi at 2000 rpm when warm. They recommend running it in for 1500 miles or so before doing anything sporty.
Thanks for all the advice. I hope this particular saga is now over. Of course I am not so naive to believe there won’t be something else. Now I think about it, the fuel pump sounds slightly whiny…!
I’ll see how it goes but glad to have her back…

It seems that all is well Nick, well, it should be after all this work done, you more or less did a complete rebuild on that engine.

Now hopefully your car is ready to go South, so hope to see you next summer!
