Squeaks in front end

I have heard it on other older XK8s, now I am begining to hear it on my 200 XKR. Front end squeak at low speed, like entering the garage over a small bump. What is it?

On my XK8 it was the front top strut mounts. It sounds as if it was in the dash on my car. The good news it wasn’t. I replaced the shocks at the same time and you will need a good spring compressor.

Hi all,
I know it is a late response to the squeaking sounds from a XK8 dash but can confirm that front top shock mount replacements stopped my 2001 XK8 from making the same sounds.
