Right, any capacitor or diode would have been right up on top. Single contact points, too, very old, everybody does double points now.
Most likely the diaphragm will be old and stiff and may not move at all, that’s why it doesn’t click continuously.
So you can sell it to an SS or Mark IV or MGT owner as a rebuildable core.
That unidentified bracket may be Morris or Austin or anything.
SS and Mark IV used a right angle bracket as you can see on mine.
