Supporting the engine to remove the front suspension

The AJ16 engine does not have the brackets mounted to secure the engine with a bar, as the old XK engine has. I need to remove the front suspension frame on my X300, but how do I secure the engine? There is supposed to be a Churchill tool for this, but I have not been able to find one.

This guy mounted something to the intake manifold (see link below). Really you can just use any generic engine support bar, and chain it to any bolts on the engine. I LOVE churchill tools but there is absolutely no need for it in this case.

Aj16 engine removal

I just managed to remove the engine from a project car , has anyone ever worked on an aj16 engine , i am getting rid of this engine as it has thrown a rod , i have a chevy engine ( just kidding) , a good used aj16 engine to use . what would be a good place to work on the engine and replace any gaskets and seals that are easy to have access . should i use an engine stand engine dolly or heavy duty table , i will need to have access to rear main seal , [image][image]

Thanks for Your advice John. I’ll look for a couple of suitable bolts on the engine.
