Roger: I just did this using the instructions below.

Get in a category, E-Type for example, and click on “New Topic” to start a new topic. Put in a title. At this point the software remembers you wanted to start one and it sticks around until you either click on “Reply” or “Cancel”. You can now click on “Forums Home” in the top menu bar and move to another topic in E-Type or even another topic in another category and quote text from that post. The quote will appear in your new topic. When you hit reply you will be asked if you want the topic you just started to appear where you started it or in the topic you just quoted from.

You can, of course drag in multiple quotes from multiple topics and categories. It’s actually a pretty neat feature that I think adds a lot of versatility to this site. Just play with it and try to create something. Until you hit “reply” nothing shows up for the rest of us to see. And even then if you don’t like the result you can always delete the post.
