The "E" in E-Type stands for electric!

Clearly, the “E” in E-Type stands for Electric. 295 hp, 0-62 in 5.5 seconds, 170-mile range. And made by Jaguar. Unfortunately though, you can’t buy one. At least, we think you can’t.

This one-off is based on a 1968 series 1.5, and Jaguar does say that the drivetrain could conceivably be used in any XK-engine powered classic Jaguar.

maybe that will put an end to wondering if a Stainless exhaust doesn’t sound quite right.
nothing beats the high pitched whine of an electric classic I guess.

Don’t think it’s going to chime with the purists!

great idea from jaguar how much I wonder?

(Paul Wigton) #5

Doesnt matter: it’ll “chime” with those, of a younger set, who want the nostaligia, without the pollution.

Well, I think it’s sad…
It makes me feel sad to watch …

that is all.

Progress: and, we can hope that the younger set will fall in lov, all over again, with its looks!
