Top timing chain dampeners backward

HI, I just finished meticulously installing the water pump and timing cover and noticed I put the top timing chain dampeners in backwards. The flat surface of the dampener with holes in it is flush against the block instead of flipped towards the aluminum bracket. Looking at wear on the old ones it looks like it would be fine to leave it. Can I leave it or do I have to take everything apart and fix it? Does anybody have any experience with this. I installed them because the other dampeners installed flush to the block and I didn’t reference the exploded view carefully enough…

You know what you have to do. So do it! Jaguar designed it for a reason. No need to change it.

Agreed, after posting this I put on my big boy pants and fixed it. Thanks for the reinforcement.
