Total advance on XK engine

I am all for those who want to stand on originality, and offer those who want to go to the triples: I just want people to realize that there’s not gonna be the gigantic difference between a well-setup 2 carburetor car, and a well-setup three carburetor car. I’ve driven a ton of each, and to me, the difference just isn’t worth the coin.

The SUs are really pretty!

They are expensive and as a matter of fact I preferred the S2 car for driving as it was feeling right. Not too harsh or soft, everything balanced and a good drivers car because it was not overrestored. On looks, interior and acceleration the S1 wins easily. But the switchgear in the S2 is better to use, fight me. The little less raw power doesn’t matter. I just realized I want both cars. And a 2+2 coupe.
