Tune up went wrong

got them from terrys they did not have much info on the package

And your still running copper wires. Even petronix says its a accident waiting to happen, your lucky so far.
SO FAR…
Their quality as I have repeated has really gone down since the take over.
Nick you got lucky, so far…
Leave your key on it will burn out.
Use copper wires it will burn out.
Use a hot coil it will burn out.
Lets see what wires he is running, I bet I win the bet 39 times.

I don’t believe in luck, only results.

Look down the middle and post a picture is the center black or white or COPPER.
Its the whole story

I was going to add, “Cue the 123 sales pitch” to my post above but thought I’d just wait and see how long it would take. That it took even less time than I expected shouldn’t surprise me. .

Heres the key, once they installed it, what was their final post…WOW.
I bought one of the first petronix for a car in 1989.
They were great, past tense.
I bet his unit heated up, then when it sat it cooled down when he put back the old rotor and cap, they are junk but that wasnt the cause. Its the unit.
IMHO, GOING FOR 39…BABY

I’m using low resistance spiral core leads, btw.

the wires are from out side in black white black white

I thought back in the day you said they were copper?
If not your doing good, so far  Having fun
Lets fix the kids issue

Yes, they’re copper spiral core, not solid core. Or some alloy of copper.

Edit: wrong. Checked. They’re stainless steel.

Thats good so far,
Look you had an issue, you did a tune up why?
The new cap and rotors are junk but then it cut out.
Go for a drive with your old parts again, see if it cuts out.
Make sense?

So your living on the edge ! Your young! Live baby live!
Its a fuse thats about to blow…
read your instructions.

What are spiral core spark plug wires?

A spiral-wound or induction-type wire offers the same or more high suppression as a carbon-core, but unlike its predecessor, has the low resistance necessary for optimumspark, making it perfectly suited for performance ignition systems.Jun. 1, 2010

And I’m older than you are, Joey.

Got it, revised edition 2012, its different

Can you read this I don’t know how to transfer

I know maybe for your 80th I get you a 123 for your birthday you damn cute!

i replace them because the wires where old and brittle and form all my days of tuning up old Chevy’s you always replaced the cap and rotor when doing a tune up

I understand but was it running perfect before?
Just pm so we dont drag it out…results to follow.
okay, putting 90 year old mother in law to bed

not great but not bad either it’s was more just as a routine maintenance and i’m going to rebuild the carbs this winter and everyone says make sure that your ignition is up to par

PM any time. , if you have a cell as well.
Im betting on the unit failing, in the meantime what coil are you using and is it 3.0 or 1.5 ohms…

it’s the Pertronix coil
