I need to replace the damper on my XJS 6.0. There are two numbers
shown in the ROM, EBC9389 up to engine 8D12470 and NHF1411AA for
engines from 8D12471. I cannot find the engine number on my car.
What is the difference between the dampers and are they
interchangeable?
BTW, my car is an early 94MY build, 10/93.–

Never thought about that. The two(2) piece design, you will find
bolts inside the pulleys that run the P/S,A/C and water pump. You
can unbolt those pulleys. On the one piece design you cannot, at
least on the ones I have.

I believe I have the two piece. I went to the parking garage and
looked at it. The pulley is very deep and couldn’t feel the bolts,
but it feels like there are two spacers (C19129) under the turning
plate. Please contact me off line and let me know how to arrange
