[v12-engine] Header Plate

I am looking for a header plate so we can build up an exhaust
system for the XJ13 replica. I have someone who can do the job if I
can find the template. I am willing to buy, borrow, barter etc.

My engine is a 6 liter but I am pretty sure that 5.3 and 6.0 have
the same template.–

Mike, no production V12 used that style of header plate.–

give the welder an exhaust manifold, and have him trace one
from the flange pattern. ?–

Mike,

I have a CAD drawing of the Gp C exhaust ports with stud locations. I don’t
know if the port outlets exactly matched the standard head. Certainly the
shape is different. I do have a standard flat head I could take some
measurements of if you need …

I recall puzzling (as I reverse engineered this engine) trying to find
whether people who machined it were using metric or imperial measurements.
My conclusion was it was a mish mash of things. (Like 10ths of an inch,
standard metric and then good old imperial) The bore spacing is a case in
point. Some bizarre number.

Thanks Ron I do have a set of stock manifolds I can send to the
fabricator and we should be able to build up from there.–
