[v12-engine] More of the same [ was Max lean idle ]

Not being one that is easily detered [ at least on this car ] I pulled
the A bank inatke manifold and swapped in a new gasket, I used the GM
sealer that Chad suggested in the Book butI’m not sure it is the exact
same. The stuff was a different part# [ a 4oz can instead of 16 oz can ?
] but the description in the GM book read the same. This stuff is a
runny brown liquid but I think it helped.

Anyway the V is still high on the A bank but it’s getting closer,
running 3V to 4.5V with the occational dip to 2.68V but stsill high at
2500 rpm trim still full rich.

I think I’m going to take a trip to the dealer & get me the correct hose
for the top of the AAV to the balance pipe.
The NAPA one I cut down although close could be restricting the air flow
into the balance pipe. If you look at it from the A bank side you can
see the underside of the bend looks a little pinched, the bend in this
hose is more acute than
the OE hose. Even with the butterflys set [ 5 times ] if I cover the
intake with my hand it seems the suction will build up the longer I keep
it covered, I don’t think that should be like that.

Bob.
