[v12-engine] Re: Distributor springs (blurpy idle solved)

Rodrigo-
If you find a source for those springs, let me know. I’ve been looking for
them since I’ve owned my Jag and no one seems to carry them. The dealer
says, “It’s not a servicable part.” You can spend about $300 - $400 on a new
distributer, though… The sad thing about the whole incident is that your
heavy spring was probably just right-- it’s not supposed to engage untill
the last ~5% of advance. Sorry if I was the bearer of bad news :frowning:
Good Luck!

Subject: [v12-engine] Distributor springs (blurpy idle solved)

Hello everyone:

I finally solved the puzle of the blurpy idle, yet
stumbled an something horrible. My heavy distributor
spring was over extended by too much to just compress
again. I thought, hey, I can bend the end to make it
reach again! WRONG. I broke it. So, here it goes:
Where do I find one of these? Should I shoot my self?
The car? Help.
