There isn’t, there is, it doesn’t. (at least on the later cars)
On my XJ40 there are two king leads feeding into the top of the
distributor. These come from two separate coils mounted between the
“V”, which are in turn fed by two separate ignition amplifiers
(Marelli on my car) mounted side by side on the passenger bulkhead.
I’m going to make a sweeping statement here and say that each
amplifier/coil serves one bank… get the idea??
