Finally got the ignition problem solved on my S I xj12 (US
emissions) - had the Lucas OPUS rebuilt and relocated to the
top of the radiator. Now, when I drive at light throttle,
low speed (25 - 35 mph) the car bucks and jerks like its
running out of gas. When I pull out the choke or push on
the gas it moves nicely.
Both fuel pumps are clicking away, drained a little gas,
came out clean. I pulled all 12 plugs, they look ok, for
not having driven the car hard in over a year. I�ve been
checking and replacing vacuum hoses, thinking its a leak, no
help.
Before I start pulling carbs apart, are there any other ideas?
Torn carb diaphram, bad gulp/diverter valve??
