Can anyone tell me what size bolts hold the vane splitter in the grill of a 2001 XK8 the PO removed it and put an XKR grill in it’s place I want to put it back, I do have the splitter but can you believe SNG Barrett want $605 for it! unbelievable it’s a bit of plastic!
There are no bolts to fasten the splitter vane, they are ‘plastic-rivets’ Something like KRB100002 but likely superseded.
Thanks motorcarman makes sense as SNG Barrett does not show them on the exploded picture but mine align up with threaded holes in the car so I thought they had bolts
JEPC shows PLASTIC RIVETS and I just walked down to my shop to verify the setup on a 1998 XK8 that should be similar.
Same splitter vane and same fasteners.
I was just looking on SNG Barrett and their splitter vane shows 3 mounting holes, mine only has 2 one on either end and the holes in the car are definitely threaded, have to try and get hold of the previous owner and ask him because he removed it, thanks Geoff
